Why I Let Go Of The Entrepreneurial Day-To-Day

About 5 years into our Ice Cider startup, I became aware that my motivations and interests were starting to move me in a new direction. While I was still very invested in the fledgling venture my husband and I had co-founded in 2000, I was about to complete my PhD. on the topic of ‘market vision’, and wanted to pursue my research interests in academia. Of course, I was still very interesting in keeping an active hand in guiding our business forward, particularly with respect to any strategy and tasks related to the areas of vision, new product development, branding and design. These were the areas of the business which I was particularly passionate about.
