Helping you imagine what's nextWhether you’re redefining retirement or building something brand new, She’s here to help you see what’s next—and go after it with confidence and clarity.
A little about me
Susan Reid is an advocate for Re Visioning Retirement, an educator, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and an all-around champion for big ideas. She encourages dreaming boldly with clarity, courage, and joy as people navigate their next chapter. Whether someone is a business owner, manager, or entrepreneur looking for a new direction, or at a turning point, perhaps retired-ish and searching for a new focal point for what drives them, they are in the right place.
With three decades of experience researching, teaching, and living the power of vision, Susan combines academic know-how with real-life insight to help people imagine what’s possible and then make it happen. Her approach is rooted in evidence and shaped by lived experience.
Susan describes herself as a NARLY, Newly Retired and Left Young, from her former career as a tenured professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Alongside her husband Charles, she also co-founded Domaine Pinnacle, a Canadian craft cider and spirits company, in 2000. They ran it joyfully for years before passing it on in 2017 to begin a new chapter. A move to Nova Scotia, and life by the sea, created space to reflect on what was next. For Susan, that meant focusing on lighting the vision path for others.
Susan's approach to visioningA Lighthearted Framework for Big Moves
Here’s the thing... visioning isn’t about pressure or perfection, it’s about possibility. Whether someone is mapping out a creative project, getting ready to try something new, or finally turning that “someday” idea into a “today” plan, it all starts with a vision.
Susan uses a research backed approach that empowers people to dream the vision and build the plan.
Stories, research, and everything inbetweenA Lifelong Love of Writing and Research
Susan has always loved writing... it’s where her academic curiosity meets her desire to connect and guide. From early research papers to pieces for Forbes, Susan has used words to help people think differently about their path forward. Her book, Re-Visioning Retirement, is one of the most personal projects she has ever worked on. It’s for anyone navigating change and ready to explore what’s next, one page at a time.
Her book, Entrepreneurial Vision, co-authored with Charles Crawford, offers a detailed and synthesized exploration into the topic of how entrepreneurs can chart and implement a successful vision for their businesses based on Susan's three + decades of expertise in the field (research, teaching, and personal experience).
